Salsa Picante

Salsa Picante: The popular 11 piece Afro-Carribean dance band will play from 10 to midnight. Salsa Picante has been described by The Halifax Herald as "Halifax's number one party band" -- successfully walking that tightrope of keeping the audience entertained and maintaining the integrity of the music. Since its inception in 1991, the sizzing sounds of the band has been heating up the concert and dance halls across the region. The band plays a whole range of Afro-Caribbean music, from traditional rumba to son, merengue, and soca that keeps the dance floor pulsating from start to finish. The members of Salsa Picante are all well respected soloists, freelance and recording artists of the East Coast music scene.
