A truly versatile artist, Sri Lankan-born Dinuk Wijeratne is internationally active as composer, conductor and pianist. Dinuk studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and at the Mannes and Julliard Schools. DInuk made his Carnegie Hall debut with Yo Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble and a recent Paris debut at Opera Bastille. Formerly Resident Conductor of Symphony Nova Scotia, this is Dinuk’s third season as Music Director of the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra. He is the recipient of numerous prizes. His music and collaborative work embrace the great diversity of his international background and influences.

Dinuk will be performing at Flamenco Con Fusion at the North Street Church on October 24, with Kinan Azmehon on clarinet.
